Through thorns to the stars: The

The Winners' Games are sports competitions for children and teenagers who have been treated for cancer. This year's Winners' Games in Perm will be held on April 17 at the sports complex named after V. P. Sukharev (Kosmonavtov Highway, 158A).

The sports festival will be held in the Kama region for the eighth time. Every year, JSC Metafrax Chemicals acts as the general partner of this event.

- "Winners' Games" is a project that cannot leave anyone indifferent. It gives self-confidence not only to our young athletes and their parents, but also to everyone who comes into contact with this wonderful event. Metafrax Chemicals, with the support of the Russian Chemical Company, helps to implement good initiatives, this is an important part of our company's social policy. We are grateful to the organizers of the competition — the Bereginya Foundation, counselors, volunteers and everyone involved in the preparation and holding of this sports festival. Thank you for the priceless smiles of our little winners! — says Mariya Konovalova, Director for Strategic Communications at JSC Metafrax Chemicals.

It is expected that about 60 Bereginya Charitable Foundation wards aged from 6 to 17 years will take part in the competitions. This year, the design of the playground, workshops for children, surprises and gifts will all be related to space. The children will compete in 6 sports. This year they are: "Running through the Milky Way" (60 meters), "Walking on the stars" (60 meters), "Bocce among the planets", table tennis "Throw Mercury", shooting in the "Star Dash" and Intergalactic mini-football. In addition, workshops, creative areas and board games will be available for children on the playground.

Another innovation of this year's Winners' Games is the events at the children's oncohematology center of the regional Children's Hospital. Bereginya organizes an interactive board game for children undergoing treatment there, and participants in real Games will send them video greetings directly from the competition.

- There is a powerful rehabilitation effect hiding behind this holiday. Games give children the opportunity to believe in themselves, show parents that their child, perhaps just recovering from an illness, is already capable of a lot. We will never tire of repeating: after the history of the disease, the history of victories begins! And our wards prove this every year with their achievements," said Tatiana Golubaeva, director of the Bereginya Charitable Foundation.
