Above average

Metafrax Chemicals was estimated as “above average” in the ESG-index of the Russian business.

The rating agency NKR and RBC for the first time has published its own ESG-index of the companies: link. In the survey participated the companies of the real economy sectors, financial institutes and insurance companies. The data was assessed for 2020–2021. The total list has included 115 questionnaires.

The survey included distribution of the participants in three groups depending on the numbers of the received points: high level of compliance with environment, social and management standards, above average level and average level. The authors of the ESG-index have also considered specifics of different industries, from which the companies participated in the survey are coming from.

JSC Metafrax Chemicals have participated in the survey, and based on the survey results in the group “Chemical industry” was included in the category who received 340–459 points, which complies with the level “above average”.

In Metafrax Group companies there is a substantial accumulated experience in implementation of ESG-principles in solving the issues of environment, industrial safety, labor safety, social policy, corporate management. In the beginning of 2022 based on the decision of the Board of directors was created a working group on implementation of ESG principles in operation of the group of companies, which works on systematization and synchronization of the processes based on the most successful cases and experts recommendations with subsequent scaling of the project to all the group of companies.
