Metafrax signed a Road Map for the “Professionalitet” Project

In September 2023, Gubakha, Perm Region, as part of the project, will see an Opening of an Educational and Production Center “Chemical Industry”.

On 1 December 2022 at VII Perm Engineering & Industrial Forum, a signing of the Road Map for the Federal Project “Professionalitet” took place. The document was signed by the Deputy General Director for Personnel of JSC Metafrax Chemicals, Mr. Rashid Shakirov, by the Minister of Education of Perm Region, Ms. Raisa Kassina, and by the Director of Ural Chemical Technology College (UCTC), Mr. Aleksei Nazarov.

The Road Map specifies events, time frames and responsible parties for implementation of the “Professionalitet” project. For instance, the document defines completion of the rough main educational programs for “Professionalitet”, intermediate vocational education, in March 2023. Among those are “Chemical Technology of Organic Materials”, “Analytical Monitoring Technology of Chemical Compounds”, “Installation, Maintenance and Repair of Industrial Equipment”.

By the end of August 2023 the center is expected to be fully equipped: all of the equipment will be ready & operational, center’s premises will be renovated and branded, an enrollment campaign for project’s educational programs will commence. Official opening of the Education & Production Center (cluster) of the “Chemical Industry” branch of the Perm Region is going to take place on the Knowledge Day, 1 September 2023.

‘“Professionalitet” project implementation has now reached a critical phase,’ says the chairman of the JSC Metafrax Chemicals’ Board of Directors, Mr. Armen Garslyan. ‘As a result, the UCTC will become a base institution in an educational network that will also comprise Regional Industrial College, Perm Chemical Technology College and Solikamsk Mining and Chemical College.’

In 2022, cooperation of UCTC and JSC Metafrax Chemicals in vocational education and employment of the college graduates was among 7 best practices of the Russia’s regions for the field “Mechanisms facilitating further employment of graduates” in the rating of the FSFEI FVE “Institute for Vocational Education Development”
