Metafrax Chemicals opens a "Management School"

On November 16, the "Management School" for middle-ranking managers started at Metafrax Chemicals. The training will improve production efficiency by means of formation of managerial competencies.

The Management School trains work shop managers and their deputies, process engineers, department heads, leading and chief specialists, included in the personnel reserve, heads of non-production departments.

The training focuses on the development of managerial competencies on the topic of lean manufacturing, improving operational efficiency and production organization, personal effectiveness of the manager, as well as planning of activities, leadership and effective management, staff development and motivation, influence capabilities and communicative competence.

The students will also have to improve their knowledge of the basics of economics in production and the requirements of the financial service of Metafrax Chemicals JSC, dig into the quality management system, the basics of innovation and invention, the basics of labor law and project management.

- We resume systematic training of the personnel reserve. This is a necessity, because the requirements for the qualification level of chemical production specialists are very high today. The program of the "Management School" was developed based on the analysis of the competencies necessary for middle=ranking managers of our company, said Rashid Shakirov, Deputy General Director for Personnel and Social Affairs.

The program of the "Management School" consists of four modules. The first one includes 24 hours of training, the remaining modules include 16 hours each one. Full-time classes will take 72 hours. The program is based on the simultaneous holding of training events and the development of mini-projects for improvements in production to consolidate the knowledge gained. The program includes lectures, work in project groups and practical work with cases, business games and round tables.

The teachers of the "Management School" are business coach Alexander Domanov and specialists of companies belonging to the "Metafrax Group". The involvement of internal teachers facilitates the exchange of experience between the Group's enterprises and the increase of internal resources in the knowledge of management system.

In September, the line managers of technological and auxiliary workshops have already been trained at the "School of Masters" – as per the Metafrax Chemicals comprehensive training program, focused on the improving of the skills of both current shift heads and the personnel reserve for these titles. And on November 7, the second stream of the "School of Masters" was launched, and 20 shift heads began their training.
