Future Repairmen Compete in Proficiency

The opening ceremony of the regional stage of the All-Russian championship “Professionals” took place at the Ural Chemical Technology College (UCTC).
Traditionally, UCTC has become a venue for a professional competition in the competence "Repair of process equipment for chemical industries". In total, as part of the championship, the Perm Territory will host challenges at 30 venues in 124 competencies, which will be attended by more than 670 participants and more than 1,000 experts.
This year, students from Gubakha, Solikamsk, Berezniki and Perm became participants in the competence "Repair of process equipment for chemical industries". In the next three days future repairmen Vitaly Starodubtsev, Dmitry Maier, Andrei Biryukov, Dmitry Sidorov and Konstantin Myrzin will have to show their knowledge, professional skills and abilities.
Alexander Yeske, Deputy Technical Director for Repairs at Metafrax Chemicals, greeted the contestants at the opening ceremony:
“The championship “Professionals” is a unique opportunity to show strengths and training in the field that the guys have chosen for their professional path. I wish you to always go forward, soar to new heights, and may luck accompany each of you on this challenge. We’re waiting for you to start an internship and to join our team after graduation."
As part of the championship, Metafrax traditionally acted as an industrial partner of Gubakha college. The company's specialists participate as experts, and Alexei Zabayev, Section Head for repair, fabrication of equipment and spare parts in the workshop for maintenance and repair of equipment in process workshops (POROTS), has been the main expert of the competence for several years:
“The geography of the championship is growing every year, which is encouraging. Healthy competition is always a good thing. I wish the expert group honest judging and an objective approach. Good luck to the participants, you can do it!”
The contestants and experts were also welcomed by Veronika Kotsolainen, Deputy Director of the Ural Chemical Technology College, Sergei Kravtsov, Minister of Education of the Russian Federation, Raisa Kassina, Minister of Education of the Perm Territory, and Ilya Bocharov, Head of the Department for Vocational Education of the regional Ministry of Education and Science.
The participants and experts have busy competitive days ahead. The results of the regional stage of the championship will be summed up and the winners will be awarded on February 22 in Perm.
