A Favourable Ecosystem for Future Generations

Metafrax Group presented and launched its ESG Brand at VII Perm Engineering & Industrial Forum.

The event took place on 1 December 2022 at the stand of Metafrax Group. Mr. Armen Garslyan, the chairman of the JSC Metafrax Chemicals’s Board of Directors, presented to PEIF-2022 attendees a unique monobrand for unified positioning of ESG initiatives.

New ESG brand has been developed using firm’s name as a basis and is intended to mark the company’s products and services promoting ESG principles. Company’s top manager emphasized that ESG subject remains essential at a global level despite current turbulences.

“ESG subject is set to the future. We are working to establish a favourable ecosystem for future generations. We can achieve this goal only if we continue following the path of sustainable development: improving environment at production sites, be socially responsible in front of our employees and citizens of the cities where our enterprises are located,” highlights Mr. Garslyan.

As part of its investment activities, Metafrax systematically implements the best available technologies. For many years the highest standards in preserving the environment have been enabling the Company to operate without exceeding the maximum allowable concentrations of hazardous substances. Social, charity and humanitarian projects of the company have been recognized by regional awards and high positions in the federal ESG ratings “Forbes Russia”, “RAEX Analytics”, studies of NCR and RBC. Synergy from interaction with institutions of vocational and higher education allowed the Ural Chemical Technology College to take the prize in the federal project “Professionalitet.

In 2022, Board of Directors of the holding decided to summarize all ESG initiatives, structure and synchronize the process of ESG principles implementation based on the most successful cases and experts’ recommendations. Development of an ESG brand is one of the tasks a special working group created by the Board of Directors is working on.

Metafrax Group’s Chief of Communications, Maria Konovalova, clarified that ESG brand is a part of the Metafrax Group brands and its implementation will proceed steadily as part of the projects realization for implementing ESG principles to the holding’s operations.

New monobrand has had a simple and neat concept framing selected: ESG balanced with Metafrax Group’s logo within a stable figure. Square’s equilibrium as a base for monobrand’s visual expression joint with lines’ flow and balance symbolizes stability, consistency and look towards the future. The colour of the new ESG brand is a mix of blue and green, Metafrax Teal, some of the signature colours of Metafrax. As part of the concept, it represents the colours of the sky and the ocean as markers of a perfectly preserved environment.
