Appreciate of the experts

The sustainability report of Metafrax Chemicals JSC for the year 2022 received a high estimation in the rating of annual reports of companies by the RAEX agency. Experts rated the document four stars out of five (it is very high quality).

This year, 235 – it is a record number of companies and organizations that took part in the RAEX ratings of non-financial and financial companies, universities, non-profit organizations, public and educational organizations. Reports were assessed on a five-point scale, where “five stars” is the highest quality of the annual report; “four stars” means very high quality of the annual report, “three stars” means high quality of the annual report, “two stars” means acceptable quality of the annual report. The company rating presents documents of 80 organizations from 24 industries.

The Metafrax Chemicals sustainability report reflects the company’s performance in the areas of ecology, industrial safety, labor protection, social policy and corporate governance. Among the significant achievements, there is implementation of the construction projects of concentrated formaldehyde and paraformaldehyde production plants, as well as the construction of the Ammonia-Urea-Melamine (AUM) complex. When construction of the AUM complex, innovative practices were used, which made it possible to significantly reduce carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere and reduce water consumption.

Thanks to many years of systematic interaction with Metafrax Chemicals JSC, the Ural Chemical Technology College (Gubakha) became the winner of the federal project “Professionality”. The company acted as the main partner of the college. As a result, a regional educational and production cluster “Chemical Industry” was created on the basis of the college; educational laboratories and workshops were provided with the most modern equipment, and educational programs focused on current production practices were introduced.
