Contribution to Technological Sovereignty
On July 8-11, the XIV International Industrial Exhibition INNOPROM gathered representatives of 900 companies and organizations from 60 countries in Yekaterinburg. Together with other enterprises that are part of the management circuit of the Ruschem holding, Metafrax Chemicals took part in this global platform for launching projects, creating production chains and business connections, and establishing a dialogue between business and government.
Eduard Davydov, General Director of JSC Ruschem:
“Achieving technological leadership is possible with a strong chemical industry, which is due to the creation of a new national project "New Materials and Chemistry". It focuses on the development of low- and medium-tonnage chemistry. It’s necessary to provide a raw material base for many substances, and the involvement of large enterprises of the chemical complex will be a decisive factor. This large-scale task was discussed at the strategic session of the government, and INNOPROM also pays attention to it. Negotiations are underway among a wide range of industry leaders to strengthen the chemical complex. I’m sure that the new national project will increase the contribution of Ruschem enterprises to technological sovereignty.”
Maria Konovalova, Director of Strategic Communications at Metafrax Chemicals, held a number of meetings near the Ruschem stand, discussed joint actions and promising projects with colleagues and partners, and visited the stand of the Perm Territory.
“I attended the TASS session "Technological Alliances: Challenges and Solutions" with great interest. Achieving technological independence is certainly a key task, and it was valuable to hear experts' opinions on successful practices in this area, existing support mechanisms and emerging problems. The general impression is that the industry, including the chemical industry, is successfully coping with challenges and restrictions, and the authorities keep their finger on the pulse: both federal and regional. Of course, the national project "New Materials and Chemistry" is an extremely significant event for the chemical industry. The focus is on key areas for the industry: the development of low- and medium-tonnage chemistry, strengthening industrial cooperation, increasing competencies in research and development (R&D), bringing agrochemistry to the forefront.”

The INNOPROM-2024 exhibition in Yekaterinburg was visited by 47 thousand people. The business program included more than 100 events on topics such as industry digitalization, pilotless technologies, production automation, investments in industry, cybersecurity. The traditional agenda was reinforced by the most relevant global topics: energy efficiency, engineering, artificial intelligence, industrial parks.
