The participants of the Big Olympiad of the Russian Chemical Industry passed the theory

On March 30, the full-time stage of the Ruschem Big Olympiad in Chemistry and Chemical Technology started with the theoretical round.
The company Metafrax Chemicals, which is part of the perimeter of JSC Ruschem, organized two sites in the Perm Region for the full–time stage - in Perm on the basis of the Perm State National Research University (PSNIU) and in Gubakha on the basis of the Ural Chemical Technology College (UCTC).
More than 50 students of grades 7-11 from Perm, Gubakha, Kizel, Alexandrovsk, Yayva, Chusovoy, Lysva, Kungur, Ocher, Tchaikovsky, who successfully completed the remote stage, took part in the theoretical tour at two venues.
At the registration, there were gifts from "Ruschem" and "Metafrax" prepared for all young people, and at the opening there were parting words. Anna Gabdurafikova, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs at PSNIU, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, welcomed the participants at the Perm site, Sergey Kuzyvanov, Head of the Education and Training Sector at Metafrax Chemicals, and Veronika Kotsolainen, Deputy Director of UCTC. They wished the participants to fully demonstrate their knowledge of chemical science and successfully cope with difficult Olympiad tasks.
- Metafrax Chemicals has traditionally held a regional subject Olympiad for high school students for more than 15 years. This year we joined the Big Olympiad of the Russian Academy of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, which will allow next year's winners and prize-winners to receive additional points upon admission to the university. Moreover, this is a great opportunity for the guys to express themselves and become a potential employee of Metafrax Chemicals. We traditionally offer students who have shown good results to study at technical universities under an agreement with our company and guaranteed employment with us," said Sergey Kuzyvanov.
According to the regulations, the participants were given 3 hours and 55 minutes to complete the Olympiad tasks.
The final experimental tour awaits the participants, which will be held on the basis of the laboratories of the Faculty of Chemistry of PSNIU and UCTC on April 26.
This year, the number of participants in the qualifying, remote stage of the Grand Olympiad of the Russian Chemical Industry exceeded 6 000 people from 36 regions of Russia. According to the results of the selection, more than 800 schoolchildren were invited to the second full–time stage.
