"Secrets of the Krestovaya Mountain" entered the TOP-7 festivals most remembered by residents of the Perm Territory

The study "Cultural life of the Perm Territory in the assessments of Perm citizens" by the sociological agency SVOI was presented at a roundtable discussion dedicated to the development of the cultural environment in the region.

The public discussion took place on October 10 in the conference hall of the Kommersant-Prikamye newspaper. According to a sociological survey among residents of the Kama region aged 18 and older, the theatrical landscape festival "Secrets of the Krestovaya Mountain", which takes place annually in Gubakha with the support of Metafrax Chemicals, entered the top seven most memorable festivals along with the Diaghilev Festival, the Sky Fair, White Nights in Perm and others large-scale cultural events.

The round table was attended by Alla Platonova, Minister of Culture of the Perm Territory, Alyona Semerikova-Volkova, Director of the "Center for the Development of Film Production", Nailya Allahverdiyeva, Director of the Perm Museum of Modern Art PERMM, Artem Ageyev, Director of the Perm Theater of the Young Spectator, Alexander Noda, Director of the sociological agency SVOI, and other experts.

Maria Konovalova, Director of Strategic Communications at JSC Metafrax Chemicals, presented the experience of business participation in the development of the cultural environment. She spoke about the most significant long-term projects in the field of art, supported by the company. Among them, in particular, is the immersive mobile exhibition project "Chemistry of Art", which is implemented by the Perm Art Gallery and the project “Women in the Art. Perm edition” jointly implemented with the Perm Tchaikovsky Opera and Ballet Theater within the educational program of the Diaghilev Festival. The theatrical landscape festival "Secrets of the Krestovaya Mountain", which has been held on the initiative of Metafrax in Gubakha since 2012, has become the landmark not only of Gubakha, but also of the entire Perm Territory.

According to Maria Konovalova, among the reasons for the success of these projects, in addition to their demand by the cultural community and high quality of execution, is the joint efforts of stakeholders: the Ministry of Culture of the Perm Territory, cultural institutions of the region and business. In addition, the long-term nature and continuity of the ongoing initiatives are of great importance. In this regard, the management’s position of Metafrax Chemicals and Ruschem holding, which maintain the priorities of philanthropic and charitable activities, is important.
