“Metafrax” invests in capacity increase

In framework of project implementation for capacity increase of methanol unit up to 3375 ton per day, “Metafrax” revamped the reforming section. In the current natural gas conversion unit a new section of natural gas partial oxidation is mounted. The project engineer is Casale SA, the project documentation development contractor is JSC “Tulagiprochem”.

The new section is integrated in the current methanol unit and its main task is producing of additional syngas volume (basically CO+CO2). The syngas will be mixed with congas, extracted from natural gas conversion in reformers. Then the united gas flow will go to the section of compression and synthesis for producing of additional methanol volume.

-This project is a part of big investing program, planned for this year. In 2017 the total investment volume will be more than 10 billion rubles. Along with the start-up of syngas partial oxidation unit and air-nitrogen plant, the company intends to realize the 2nd revamping stage of water supply and water disposal systems, to carry out the 1st revamping stage of tanker processing point and the 1st stage of commercial dipentaerythritol extraction according to the pentaerythritol production modernization program.
