Vladimir Daut, the General Director of "Metafrax Chemicals" JSC, held a meeting of the Board of Trustees of "Gubakha" ice rink. The participants of the meeting summarized the results of the rink’s operation in 2022 and shaped plans for the current year.

According to Kirill Makarov, the director of the Municipal Autonomous Institution "Sports School", currently about 150 children of different ages from the Gubakha municipal district are engaged in ice hockey at the ice rink; 60 children in 2 groups are engaged in figure skating. The hockey team of Gubakha titled "Metafrax" is also based here. In 2022, the "Metafrax" men's team took second place in the standings of the Perm region's ice hockey championship and today it occupies the first place.

In 2022, 10 tournaments among youth teams took place at the ice rink, hockey players born in 2010-2011 and 2012-2013 played 20 games in the Regional Championship. Figure skaters – pupils of coach Kseniya Krasilnikova – successfully represented Gubakha at a great number of competitions, including those outside the Kama region. In addition, they are providing theatrical performances to Gubakha residents and guests of our city for the second year in a row. Moreover, the "Gubakha" ice rink became a gathering place for teams of figure skaters, hockey players and sledge hockey players from all over the Perm region.

The "Gubakha" ice rink was built in 2019 per initiative of Evgeny Ketov, a pupil of the Gubakha hockey school, Russian champion and World champion. "Metafrax Group" has supported this project. After the opening, the rink immediately gained popularity among the citizens and became a place of attraction for sports fans. The number of children and adults who play hockey, engage in figure skating and attend mass skating all year round is growing every year. The area of the rink is 2,3 thousand square meters. meters. The rink can accommodate up to 80 people simultaneously, 185 spectators can be accommodated in the stands.
