The AUM complex will obtain technology for carbon dioxide recovery, developed by Mitsubishi

The Swiss design company Casale obtained a license for the technology of carbon dioxide recovery by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. The technology developed by Mitsubishi under the name KM CDR Process will be used in manufacturing of AUM Complex products. That technology involves the use of an foremost absorption solution, which allows reducing energy costs.

"Carbon dioxide, formed during the production of methanol, will be used for the synthesis of urea on the AUM complex. As a result, we get a reduction in harmful emissions from the main production and increase the efficiency of obtaining a new product, "- said the Director of AUM Complex, Alexander Lysov.

The contract between PJSC Metafrax and Casale for the engineering, equipment supply and construction management of the AUM complex was signed in November last year. Under the terms of the contract, the Swiss company will act as licensor and EPCM contractor for the project.
