Governor, Mr. Dmitry Makhonin: "The towns of the region are changing faster if business is involved in this work"
During a working trip to the objects that are being renovated in preparation for the 300th anniversary of Perm, the Governor of the Perm Region, Mr. Dmitry Makhonin, examined the progress in the improvement of the park named after. F.Dzerzhinsky. The event was also attended by the head of Perm city, Mr. Alexey Dyomkin, director of legal affairs of the Metafrax Chemicals, PJSC, Mr. Simon Vikhnin and heads of relevant city’s and regional departments.
Currently, the installation of a curb stone and the planning of the territory are going on at the object. New benches and trash cans will be installed in the park, the fence will be repaired, lawns with a total area of about 6,000 square meters will be restored. More than 550 perennials, as well as several types of spruces and shrubs will be bedded out. The main scope of the work is planned to be completed by the end of this year.
The governor noted that the urban redevelopment of the towns of the Kama river region, the transformation of public spaces, parks, squares, social objects is one of the priority tasks.
- Thanks to this, points of attraction are created where people of all ages like to spend their leisure time, have a rest, play sports. This directly affects the comfort and well-being of citizens living in their territories, as well as guests of the Perm Region,–highlighted the head of the Region.
The improvement of the square, named after Dzerzhinsky in Perm was financed by Metafrax Group under an agreement, signed on June 27, 2022 by Mr. Vladimir Daut, CEO of Metafrax Chemicals, and Mr. Pavel Podgorodetsky, Director of the Gubernia Charitable Found. The enterprise donated 30 million rubles for the improvement of the square.
- Metafrax Group is traditionally actively involved in creating a favorable urban environment in the locations of its companies. Over the years we realise a number of long-term charitable and patronage projects in the Perm Region and the Moscow Region. Reconstruction of a popular recreation area for Perm residents and guests of the city is another step in this systematic work,- noted Mr. Simon Vikhnin.
Mr. Dmitry Makhonin emphasized that Perm and other cities of the region are changing faster if not only regional and local authorities, but also business are involved in this work.
- Nowadays large-scale work is going on in the Kama River Region to improve public spaces and public objects. Taking this opportunity, I urge citizens to treat them with care, so we can preserve their new look for many more years,” said the Head of the Region.
