Gubakha Residents Donated Almost 60 Liters of Blood

Metafrax employees took active part in the donor initiative that had been carried-out in community center Energetik in the last days of November. In two days, specialists of the blood transfusion unit had taken about 60 liters of blood from 120 donors. With this, all of the blood types had been prepared, including the rarest type - IV with negative Rh factor.

It should be noted that about 50% of the initiative participants are Metafrax employees, a lot of them are honorable donors. The medical personnel have also noted that young people (younger than 30 years old) took active part in the initiative, 43 persons came to the blood transfusion unit.

– It is recognised that each donation when they take standard 450 mL of blood from a person can save live to two of three patients. – Commented Andrei Roznin, Medical Director of City Clinical Hospital No. 4. – The most serious patients of the inpatient facility - M.V.A. injured, women during the mogitocia, people who need advanced procedure - need blood transfusion. Nobody has invented any blood and its components substitutes. And we highly appreciate help of donors, unselfish allies of doctors who help them with their work.
