A Gift for Football Players
A master class of players of the FC Amkar Perm was held for the participants of the Cup in the KUB (KUB – Kizel Coal Basin) football tournament.
On August 26, the traditional Cup in KUB football tournament among amateur teams from cities of the Kizel Coal Basin took place at the Shakhter stadium in Kizel.
The tournament has been held since 2017 with the support of Metafrax Group. The teams from Gubakha, Kizel, Gremyachinsk and Gornozavodsk include representatives of government bodies, local counselors, famous athletes, opinion leaders, entrepreneurs, heads of public organizations, municipal enterprises and institutions, active young people from the KUB cities.
At the opening of the competition, the participants were welcomed by Armen Garslyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Metafrax Group, Member of the Legislative Assembly of the Perm Territory. He noted that football is not just the most popular sport in the Kizel Coal Basin.
“Football is really loved here. But the event would be incomplete without a gift. Today it will be a master class from the athletes of the FC Amkar Perm. This initiative was personally supported by the Governor Dmitry Makhonin and the Regional Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports."
The master class was conducted by Anton Chebykin, a player of the main team of the FC Amkar Perm, and Alexander Panov, a player of the youth team, with the participation of Alexei Stepanov, a former goalkeeper of the team. The players demonstrated ball control, dribbling, flicks, passing in pairs, juggling and tricks.
Following the results of the competition, the team from Kizel won the tournament. Players from Gubakha took the 2nd place, and athletes from Gornozavodsk took the 3rd place. The team from Gremyachinsk also received an incentive award for participation and took the 4th place.
